In Year 3, in Food Technology, we have been learning about cheese. We learnt about the different types, how it’s made and also got to make cheese & leek parcels and mini cheesecakes.
In Year 2, as part of our food topic on where bread comes from, we made mini pizzas.
Year 3 spent the afternoon completing Level 1 Bikeability course with Dave and Jonathan. Taking place in the playground, the children learnt how to check their bikes and helmets, how to brake safely and how to tackle obstacles. To embed the skills, all of the children then took part in loads of fun games. All of the Year 3s were very positive about the experience.
YEAR OF THE MONKEY
We have been building up our core strength by being little monkeys. We’ve even learned some yoga poses to warm up our muscles.
FOREST SCHOOL SURVIVAL
Green Class went to Forest School to find out what is needed for survival. We have to work together, find shelter, food and water. There’s coal in them thar hills for fuel and always time to play!
LOCAL AREA TOPIC
In the Autumn term, Green Class visited a farm in the village. Mr Wood, the farmer told us about how the land is used and we met some of the animals he keeps on his farm.
