Autumn Term 2019

Our topic in the Autumn Term is Romans – invaders and settlers - so at Forest School we have been thinking like Iron Age Celts. We made woad (blackberries!) and painted with natural paint brushes, built Celtic round houses with protective guardians, ‘scavenged’ and ‘foraged’ to survive the winter, developed our skills of observation so we could get ready for battle when the Romans came, made bows and arrows and slingshots to hunt for food….and we didn’t complain about the rain, because there were sunny times too!
