Cutthorpe Primary School now has a governor run preschool, which first opened its doors in September 2023. This year, Mrs Allen (Early Years Advanced Practitioner), will be leading the pre-school along with a dedicated, friendly team of support staff. The children are taught separately in the morning and then mix with our FS2 children in the afternoon. All nursery children access Forest Schools on a Thursday.

Session Times

There are morning, afternoon or full day sessions available during term time. Running times are:

Morning session 8.45am – 12.00pm - £17.50

Afternoon session 12.00pm-3.15pm - £17.50

Full day 8.45am – 3.15pm - £35.00

We accept all forms of tax-free child care vouchers as well as 15 and 30 hours funding for eligible children.

Wrap Around Care

We can also provide wrap around care, the times are:

7.30am – 8.45am – £5.75

3.15pm – 4.00pm – £4.50

3.15pm -6.00pm – £8.00

Pre- School Aims

We personalise the Early Years Framework to creatively, support the needs of our children to progress in all areas.  We focus on supporting your child with their personal, social and emotional development, as this is key to their success across all they do. We also work towards encouraging our children to be school ready by the end of the time in pre-school; the 10 key areas of school readiness that we will be working towards in our pre-school are.
