Summer Term 2021

BUTTERFLY RELEASE - As a class we have enjoyed watching the caterpillars change into butterflies. Sadly, our 5 butterflies have got too big for the net now so we have been released into the wild. Here are some pictures of their release and their first taste of freedom!

In Reception, we had a Forest School Day where we used the story of ‘Stick Man’ by Julia Donaldson to inspire us to make stick people and decorate log pieces. We had lots of fun with the sticks we collected and managed to also use them to make some pictures. We made a Ruby Class Stick family. Take a look at our photos!

PE WITH INDIA from the SHAPE partnership: We have been working with India, from the Sports Partnership, to practice our team working skills. We looked for animal clues around the playground and then played some games where we had to cross an imaginary river using the ‘spots’ as stepping stones. We had to help each other to get across without stepping in the water. We were really good at communicating and problem solving together!
