What is Forest Schools?
Forest school is an inspirational process that offers all learners regular opportunities to achieve and develop confidence and self-esteem through hands-on learning experiences in a woodland or natural environment with trees.
It is a holistic learning process, with children being given the freedom to explore their surroundings through a theme or activity led by the Forest school leader.
Forest Schools has a proven record of increasing children’s confidence, self-esteem and sense of well-being. This has also proven to have increased concentration and attainment in the classroom setting.
All of our children access Forest School at a different point throughout the academic year. Our fully trained and experienced Forest School Teacher is Mrs Tokunaga, who works with all of the children.
